Crunchy Coffee top with buttery soft texture from inside, these coffee buns are an ultimate treat for Coffee lovers. Smells Devine and taste heavenly.
Coffee Buns
(Recipe for 4 Buns)
Ingredient for Bun Dough:
Bread Flour – 180 grams
Milk – 110 grams
Butter – 30 grams
Sugar – 20 grams
Salt – 2 grams
Yeast – 4 grams
Butter – 50 grams - 4 Small squares (frozen)
Ingredients for Coffee Topping:
Butter – 35 grams
Egg – 25 grams
Sugar – 25 grams
Cake flour – 35 grams
Water – 5 grams
Instant Coffee – 3 grams
Toppings:
Nutella or Lotus Biscoff - Optional
Method for Dough Making:
1. In order to activate the Yeast, add Yeast, sugar and Salt in the Luke warm milk and set aside for 5 to 10 minutes.
2. Transfer bread flour into a large bowl for kneading.
3. Once yeast is activated add it into the flour and knead the dough.
4. Cover the dough with plastic film and leave it for 15 minutes.
5. After add minutes add the butter (butter should be at Room temperature) and knead the dough with your hand until the butter is completely absorbed by the dough.
6. This kneading will take 5 to 7 minutes. Again cover the dough with plastic film and let it rest for 1 hour for proofing.
7. After one hour, divide the dough into 4 equal parts.
8. Spread one part on your hand and add one small piece of frizzed butter and make round shape. Transfer the buns on baking sheet.
9. Make all the buns again cover and left for 30minutes.
For Coffee Topping:
1. Mix instant Coffee into the water and set aside.
2. Soften the butter using a whisk.
3. Add sugar in the butter and beat it well.
4. Add egg and beat again.
5. Add coffee and mix well.
6. Finally add cake flour and mix very well so that there are no lumps.
7. Once the mixture is smooth, transfer this mixture to a pipping bag with small round nozzle.
Final Assembly of Buns:
1. Remove plastic film from Buns and apply Coffee Mixture (Follow my You tube Recipe for Step by Step Instructions).
2. Pre heat oven for 18 to 19 minutes at 200 Degree Centigrade.
3. Bake the buns for 15 to 17 minutes at 180 Degree Centigrade.
4. Take out the buns and top these buns with your favorite topping (Nutella and Lotus Biscoff.
5. Best to serve hot with Coffee and Tea.
